Back to the farm!!

Sorry for the long break. We had a great time in Florida celebrating the marriage of Rob and Rachel, the engagement of Jacob and Victoria, and the birth of baby Cole, playing with Judah, long talks with mom and dad, loads of fun on the beach with Kenna and Diogo, and hanging out with other family and friends like the Nelsens. We even got to see Denton for a few days. Unfortunately, we are horrible at taking pictures and only have a few of these events on film.

We spent Saturday at the Strolling of the Heifers. This is a parade/fair in Brattleboro full of animals, food, and people.

Chick Pea Carrot Soup that I found on a blog. So good. I added mushrooms, zucchini, yellow squash, and chicken. I also only pureed the chick peas and orange juice leaving the soup chunky. YUM! http://markbittman.com/31157907

This is what happens to your rhubarb when you leave it for 2 weeks! It grows trees!

Baby llamas at the fair.

Save My Ass is an organization that saves donkeys and promotes the usage of them just like horses. We didn't really understand it, but they had funny t-shirts and kissing booths.

  1. parades in the country sure are different than in the city...yours are quiet...no loud sirens and fire engines, bands or unicycle riders...of course you have poop on the streets and we don't...oops,except for the police horses(forgot about them)
